Hi again, so today were going to be talking about rules 2 & 20 in “Allie’s Rules for High School” . So these rules are,
Treat your kisses like you have a limited supply and selfies are for faces
and your probably wondering now how the heck these two go together. In my mind these both have to do almost with saving yourself for marriage and keeping your dignity (by dignity i mean making sure guys don’t think of you as that girl that always has a boyfriend and can’t live with out one.)
Some verses that go with this are:
1 Corinthians 5:6-7 (which makes more since in context so get your bible out!! :))
6 Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? 7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are…
1 Corinthians 6:13b
The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
Now I’ve probably confused you again talking about sexual immorality, which is any type of expression outside the boundaries of a biblically defined marriage relationship, and that is because there aren’t really any verses about kissing so this is the closest i can get with biblical evidence. But this is basically what these two “rules” are talking about, in different ways of course in rule #2 it is something your giving, an experience, but having said that its not bad to kiss your boyfriend to express your feeling but you shouldn’t go around kissing everyone to the point where it doesn’t mean anything anymore. Rule 20 is more about leaving something left to people’s imagination. It doesn’t mean you have to wear knee length skirts and turtle necks but modesty is the best policy!!
